About Mutley chiropractic Clinic Plymouth

About me

Hi,

Having found your way to my Website it’s probably safe to say you’re either in pain or you’re curious about the benefits of chiropractic care. Well you’ve come to the right place and I warmly welcome you to have a look around and read about the different help and support I can offer you.

My name’s Michelle. I qualified as a chiropractor in 2005 and now I’m fortunate enough to run my own practice doing something I love. I’m driven by my passion for helping people and I take pride in offering exceptional patient care and building lasting, trusting relationships. This is so important when choosing a practitioner – if you can feel confident and relaxed during your treatment then your body will respond well and we’re halfway there already!

Michelle Peters, Ivybridge Chiropractic Clinic
Try not to worry if you feel a little bit anxious about your first visit, just let me know and I’ll allow for extra time to put your mind at rest. Chiropractic treatment isn’t painful, can be very relaxing and is a great drug free alternative for a whole range of symptoms and ailments.

Since the start of my degree
I’ve had a particular interest in the treatment of pregnant women and infants. I became a mum for the first time myself in 2008, which furthered my interest as I experienced first-hand how uncomfortable pregnancy can really be! I now have three amazing children and I have treated all of them regularly since birth. To see the relief a treatment can give a baby who can’t express his or her discomfort is incredible; to understand that discomfort and be able to provide that relief is a great privilege and remains a driving force in my practice.

In addition to my multi-disciplinary approach – which means I offer a range of treatment options including spinal manipulative therapy, myofascial release techniques, mobilisations, activator method, cranial therapy, visceral techniques and rehabilitation – I am also a trained breast feeding counsellor. I offer this service free to my pregnant or new parent patients if it’s welcomed.

I take a very holistic approach to any treatment and can provide loads of additional advice on diet, lifestyle, exercise and relaxation. I have a small library of books you can borrow too. There’s a very apt saying… ‘be careful what your mind says, because your body is listening.’ I believe this absolutely and I want to help you to ensure your mind is saying all the right and positive things. I’m sensitive to my patient’s preferences though; I won’t nag you if you’d rather I didn’t!

I am a responsible and moral practitioner; I am honest and I see my role as facilitating your body to heal itself – I merely point it in the right direction!

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you would like to discuss any aspect of my work prior to making an appointment, I’m more than happy to make time to chat. You may also find it reassuring to check out my testimonials page.

I look forward to hearing from you and to working with you soon.

Warmest regards,
Michelle.
